This is a front line supervision role where candidates will be responsible for leading production teams.  Successful candidates will have the ability to build teams and service customers.  Ventura's cells follow a "micro business" approach, each with its own key metrics and P&L, encouraging ownership and initiative. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  1. Growth and development of a team
    • Coach, encourage, motivate, hold accountable
    • Conduct regular evaluations
    • Engage a team and encourage ownership
    • Engage in conflict resolution as needed
    • Develop and foster culture of process improvement and problem solving
  2. Execute daily standard work
    • Responsible to oversee the attainment of production schedules
    • Ensure customers receive quality product on time
    • Appropriately execute to daily performance metrics such as Customer On Time Delivery, Quality Performance, Labor Cost, Scrap Cost and Safety.
    • Troubleshoot to solve variations or disruptions in the process and/or escalate as needed.
  3. Engage in continuous improvement
    • Solve problems related to production process, quality and delivery
    • Improve key metrics
    • Actively participate in Continuous Improvement and 5S activities

Requirements:

  1. 3-5 years experience leading people in a manufacturing environment.
  2. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles as they relate to daily operations.
  3. Bachelors degree a plus.
  4. A desire to invest in the growth and success of people.
  5. Intermediate level or above computer skills using MS Excel, Word and ERP software.
